Since the beginning of its activity, D&P has collaborated with the main multinationals in the white sector, contributing significantly to the development of new products for dishwashing, washing machines, boilers, hobs, ovens and small household appliances.
DISHWASHER
Design of the complete layout of the equipment components for maintaining maximum standard dimensions, calculation of stability and lateral deformation and identification of corrective actions, definition of incoming water treatment for waste reduction (industrial washing), optimization of agitators and position of washing jets for performance tests, study and definition of methodologies for steam reduction and energy recovery, studies for the optimization of structural shapes for the reduction of noise detected during product classification tests.
STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
Dishwasher tubs, assemblies and structural details, inclined plane simulation for crash tests, system analysis in the household appliance sector.
HYDRAULICS
Component layout, conducted paths, characterization and determination of flow rates and prevalences, definition of baskets and standard loads, study starting from the layout and operating logics up to the industrialization of all the components of detergent storage systems or water recovery.
ELECTRIC
Laying of wiring, routes in accordance with reference regulations.
WASHING MACHINE
Design of the complete layout of the machine components, static balancing by defining the weights and inertia of the main components of the go divided between rotating, initial and damping components, definition of the center of gravity displacement and definition of the position of the suspension elements for both hanging groups and those with load-bearing foot geometry, vibration and noise optimization studies, aesthetic and mechanical design of the entire user interface, complete design of innovative detergent assemblies and dispensers, management of assemblies and subassemblies, of the basic bill of materials, coordination in the construction of prototypes and customer assistance up to the pre-series launch.
Using the most advanced methodologies (FEM and multibody kinematic analysis) and tools, D&P is able to design the components: load-bearing furniture for washing machines, hinges and kinematics for porthole and door openings, washing machine tub and drum assembly, structural bases, handles for door opening drives, packaging definition.
THERMAL COMFORT
D&P collaborates with one of the largest thermal comfort companies in the world, collaborating on the development of new heating machines using gas and electric heat pumps.
COOKING
Optimization of the load-bearing structure (casing) of an entire family of ovens, steam cooking system with removable water drawer, aesthetic study of a range for built-in ovens, definition of the layout and pad printing on a range of hobs, study of the basic layout of free-standing ovens in different widths (60/70/90), design for an active/passive divider system inside the oven cavity, implementation of a system for detecting the temperature of food, study of a door hinge with a book-style opening, design of a structure for mechanical tests on the durability of the gas knob mechanism.

Thanks to the support of the internal carpentry, we can also provide sheet metal prototypes quickly and without intermediaries.

To support the design, we can provide a FEM, CFD, multibody and crash analysis service, using both internal skills and more specialized ones by contacting experts for each sector.

Already operating in the Design For Manufacturing & Assembly design perspective, D&P is naturally oriented towards the industrialization of the product. In addition, it is able to offer its skills to the Customer's production departments and to the selected suppliers for the optimization of the complete production process.
